Nubo Unveils Enhanced Security Capabilities and New Business-Class Apps at 2016 RSA Conference

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – February 29, 2016 – Virtual Mobile Infrastructure (VMI) innovator Nubo Software is showcasing new expanded security features for its remote enterprise workspace solution as well as its new secured Messenger and administrative Control Panel app at the RSA Conference 2016 in San Francisco.

As with previous releases this latest version includes enhancements that address security, enterprise control, user experience, and mobile agility.

The latest security update has added a layer of authentication that verifies the end user’s certificate in order to access enterprise web applications. This includes Single sign-on (SSO) security protocols that protect integrity and confidentiality, and enable users to sign in to apps just once after initial approval, simplifying mobile access for employees and boosting productivity.

Enterprises can remotely install any Android app to their remote workspace with no need for any modifications, app wrapping or access to the source code.

Nubo has further optimized its UX over IP remote display protocol, enhancing the overall performance, speed and user experience of applications delivered from its remote mobile platform.

Two new business-class apps have been added to Nubo’s out-of-the-box suite: A real-time Messenger app and a robust Control Panel for administrators.

Messenger lets employees instant message and collaborate with each other without storing any data on devices. It enables:

  • Peer-to-peer chat
  • Group chat
  • Broadcast messaging to select users
  • Image file transfer
  • Push notifications on new messages to a user’s device
  • With the Control Panel app, administrators can:

  • Monitor usage and user activity logs
  • Connect and disconnect devices from access from the remote network
  • Drag and drop any app to the remote environment
  • Deploy mobile apps to custom-defined users and groups
  • These apps join Nubo’s current business-class apps, which include:

  • Email, Calendar, Contacts, File and folders – all integratable with Exchange server & Active Directory
  • Connect and disconnect devices from access from the remote network
  • Drag and drop any app to the remote environment
  • Deploy mobile apps to custom-defined users and groups
  • After securing a $7M Series A investment round from Magma Venture Partners and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, Nubo has begun expanding its marketing, sales and support services. The first enterprise mobility provider in the world to develop VMI, Nubo allows businesses to deliver corporate and consumer mobile apps as a display from a remote server, ensuring zero data is stored on employee devices.

    About Virtual Mobile Infrastructure (VMI)

VMI technology affords enterprises a higher layer of security that completely separates corporate and personal environments without infringing on employee privacy. Because the corporate environment is controlled in one remote platform, IT can develop and manage just one customized app for any Android, iOS or HTML5-supported device. Enterprises no longer have to spend significant resources securing devices because they can simply be disconnected from access to the remote environment.
